Thoughts on the Book:
I've been intrigued by this book ever since it was released. Well, obviously, the cover says a lot. The cover was beautiful. Plus the fact that it was compared to Hunger Games. That was all it took me put this on my to-read list of books.
Yes, there were some instances where it has some similarities with Hunger Games. Kira Walker, for example. I can see Katniss Everdeen's character in her. She's stubborn, brave, and willing to die to save the world. Marcus is like Gale. He always jokes around his friends.
Somehow, Partials is a lot different from Hunger Games although they're both dystopian themed. Partials has a bit of science fiction too.
I admit that the first part of the book was a bit distressing because I can't seem to connect with what the book says like Partials, The Voice, the RM virus. But as I got on reading it, everything fall into its place. It was a very good book - very intriguing, full of actions, has a story and the plot was very detailed that I can actually imagine myself as a character in the book.
There's a bit of romance too. A love triangle is in the making between Marcus, Kira, and Samm.
The book was pretty good but the only problem was that it left me hanging and wanting for more. The book turned out to be a part of a trilogy. If I had known all along, I should have waited for the other two books to be released.
