Teresa Hamilton is having a rough year—she’s in love with her big brother’s best friend, but he hasn’t spoken to her since they shared a truly amazing, mind-blowing, change-your-life kiss. She got out of a terrible relationship. And now an injury is threatening to end her dance career for good. It’s time for Plan B – college. And maybe a chance to convince Jase that what they have together is real.

Jase Winstead has a huge secret that he’s not telling anyone. Especially not his best friend’s incredibly beautiful sister. Even though he and Teresa shared the hottest kiss of his life, he knows that his responsibilities must take priority. He certainly doesn’t have time for a relationship. But it doesn’t help that all he can think about kissing the one girl who could ruin everything for him.

As they’re thrown together more and more, Jase and Tess can’t keep denying their feelings for each other. But a familiar danger looms and tragedy strikes. As the campus recovers, the star-crossed couple must decide what they’re willing to risk to be together, and what they’re willing to lose if they’re not…

You want a book that is oozing with sexuality, with emotions, with romance, well..this book is definitely perfect for you! Just like the first book, this book and I just clicked together. Yeah, yeah. A girl in her right mind won’t refuse the two alpha males in this book particularly Jase, who is the lead in this book.

The Plot. With all the different New Adult Books I’ve read since last year, I cannot say that this story is unique. It was a bit cliché. The guy falls in love with his best friend’s little sister, but then he was afraid to admit it because it might ruin their friendship. But then, the guy also has a secret he wasn’t willing to reveal and so he distances himself from the girl. Cliché right? But then, since I’ve loved the first book of this series, I proceeded and read it, and it was worth the read.

The Characters.

Jase Winstead. I like this guy. I like how deep he is, how he cares for his little guy. Sometimes what people experiences in real life can either break or make them. And in his case, it helped him know himself more. It made him take life seriously. It changed his perception of how he lived prior to what he is now. I like how sweet he was towards Tess – he gives her this cute pink box that contains delectable cakes, he made her feel important when he shared his biggest secret to her, he makes her feel beautiful, he’s so concerned about her that sometimes he’s like this overprotective douchebag towards the other people who approaches Tess, how he plays chauffeur for Tess so he can help her ease her pain from walking, and of course, I think he cemented his love for Tess the moment he invited him to their house on Christmas Eve. What I didn’t like about him is how he can easily chicken out on Tess when everything becomes tough for him, not realizing how his actions may affect her.

Teresa Hamilton. Although it may have taken awhile, I think Tess is one brave woman. She survived her a**hole boyfriend and managed to break up with him. She’s recovering from an injury that may have broken her future career in dancing. I think it’s really difficult to come back from a fall like that especially if you have it planned already. And for that I commend this woman. Despite everything, she slowly got up on her own. She made something more out of her experiences and she came out as an empowered woman. I in awe of how much she loves Jase that she’s willing to forgo all the bad things he had done to her.

Jack – Who can ignore this cute little thing? He’s full of energy and I think everybody like him. I hope he’ll have his own book too.

Avery and Cam – Yes they’re still in this book, though they’re just a side dish next to Tess and Jase. But they provided a great support towards the couple when they encountered tough situations.

In a way this book is not only a romance book because it also delivers an important message to everyone out there who has their life mapped out ahead of them. Sometimes, life gives unexpected things that will throw us out of our loop and we don’t have any other choice but to create another loop again. Instead of being discouraged, this should remind us that not every accident is a bad one, sometimes it’s just His way of telling us that we’re meant to do something better. When you’re given a lemon, make a lemonade or better yet, be creative and create more products out of it.
Sometimes some really good things come from something unexpected.
Time was a funny and fickle thing. Sometimes there was never enough of it, and other times it stretched out endlessly.
I want to take you out on a date. I want to take you horseback riding. I want to tell your brother. I want to take you home to my parents and introduce you as my girlfriend. I want to prove this means more to me. I want to do this the right way.
Death was always a reminder to the living to live – to live in the present and to look forward to the future.

# 1 New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Jennifer L. Armentrout Lives in West Virginia.

All the rumors you heard about her state aren’t true.

Well, mostly. When she's not hard at work writing, she spends her time, reading, working out, watching zombie movies, and pretending to write.
