Swoon Romance

Seventeen-year-old Meg Flannigan isn’t very self-confident, but what girl would be after her sophomore-year boyfriend dumped her by making out with another girl in front of her locker?

Now a senior, Meg catches the eye of not one, but two gorgeous guys at school. Sounds good, right? What girl wouldn't want to be in Meg's shoes? One cute boy happens to be her boyfriend, and the other? Well, he wants to be. And Meg? She't torn between Ash, the boy she's been with for nearly five months, and Noah who is pretty irresistible.

But Meg is playing with fire. Pitting two boys against one another, even if she doesn't intend to, could end badly if she isn't careful. PERFECT FOR YOU is a teen romance from bestselling author Ashelyn Drake, where one girl will risk everything to find her perfect match.

Sometimes, two people just aren’t meant to be together. Sometimes, they’re only standing in the way of the two people who should be together.
Perfect for You is a story about a teenage girl whose heart and mind was too muddled that she couldn’t choose whom to love. Is it possible to love two different people at the same time?

Meg is a dedicated lawn tennis player in her school. She was leading the team for championship and she wants to set new records for their school. She was finally happier than she was two years before, when Derrick chose to dump her by sticking his tongue at the throat of a freshman in front of her locker. But she was past all those issues. She finally found someone trustworthy enough. She has a loving boyfriend who thinks the world of her. She has an awesome best friend who’s always beside her when she has problems. Her scholarship to university is at the tip of her fingers. But then, Noah Turner decides to show interest on her.
Why now? Why not sophomore year or the beginning of junior year? Why did he have to wait until I’m dating Ash to notice me?
Noah Turner is a part of the popular crowd. Meg had a huge crush on her before she met Ash. He’s a heart throb and he is also a tennis player. He hadn’t even glanced her way ever since she played but lately, it’s as if the world has shifted upside down. He was suddenly attending her practices and had been nothing but supportive, giving her tips and all. Plus, he’d been invading even her personal space. He was also very vocal about liking her. He was constantly pushing her.

I think what Noah did was wrong but when Meg decided to tolerate all his actions that was off the beam. I guess she liked the attention. She had wanted to catch his attention before, and now, he was freely revealing hints that he wanted her in all the ways she imagined. As much as she liked Ash, she can’t help to feel the attraction towards Noah too. How will she deal with it knowing that she might just be a wee bit in love with both of them? I guess Meg was just confused as to who really holds more space in her heart. It is impossible to love two people simultaneously. If she doesn’t really know herself, then she might be in trouble if she chooses wrongly.

One thing this book tells the readers is that do not let your past experiences mold you into someone you wouldn’t recognize years from now. Do not let bad events cloud your happiness and your judgment. Before venturing into a new relationship, it is important to put the past behind and focus on what is in front of you. Be able to know yourself because you won’t the quantity you can give if you yourself don’t know the quantity you deserve.
You can’t control who you love.
In the end, she chose the one who knows her better than she knows herself. Knowing that there are some qualities he lacks, she still chose him because she now knows that her heart beats for him. I liked that she came with a resolution in the end to choose between the two. It would be really unfair to lead on someone knowing that he was already developing deeper feelings for her.
You don’t always get what you want, when you want it.
